About
Silvana Naguib is an experienced litigator who has handled civil and criminal matters in state and federal court. She has practiced in California, Illinois, and the District of Columbia. She has handled a wide variety of cases including property law disputes, civil rights class actions, ADA access lawsuits, constitutional law claims arising out of prisons, jails, and psychiatric institutions, civil commitment and guardianship, and a range of criminal matters. She is an expert "courtroom lawyer" with over a decade
of experience in jury trials as well as oral argument in trial and appellate courts.
Prior to joining EPGR Lawyers, Silvana was the Directing Attorney for the Homelessness Prevention Law Project at the non-profit law firm Public Counsel, leading a 24-person team of advocates and trial lawyers. She also spent six years working as a public defender in the District of Columbia.
Silvana attended Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago, where she started her career as a civil rights lawyer working on complex civil litigation related to prisons and jails, by working with the Macarthur Justice Center. She received her Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and English from Texas State University.
Silvana is admitted to practice in California, and is based in the Costa Mesa office.
