Karoleen Tekin

About

As a business owner herself, Karoleen has an intimate understanding of what is required not only to build a thriving company, but to safeguard the assets earned through hard work and dedication. Karoleen has worked extensively forming business entities, ensuring their compliance with ever-changing regulations, and limiting their liability and exposure through sophisticated corporate structuring.

As a highly experienced transactional lawyer, fierce negotiator, and zealous litigator, Karoleen dedicates herself to the success of her clients. Karoleen’s track record boasts remarkable successes in complex corporate matters—spanning internal agreements, third-party transactions, and contentious disputes—for highly visible companies and executives. In addition to her impressive transactional accomplishments, Karoleen has handled numerous trials and appeals across a myriad of industries (including real estate, construction, employment, healthcare, technology, and transportation).

Karoleen began her career in advocacy while in law school by leading her mock trial team to victory in numerous national competitions. Those invaluable litigation skills have been honed through decades of practice and have translated into victories in the courtroom.

Understanding and embracing the need to “give back,” Karoleen has served as a recurring judge for UCI Law School’s mock trial competition and spearheaded a mock trial for the Santa Ana YMCA helping at-risk youth develop confidence, as well as public speaking and critical thinking skills. Karoleen is an active community advocate, having served in the legal ministry at Mariner’s Church in Irvine and performing pro bono work with the Christian Arabic Church in Anaheim. In collaboration with these organizations, Karoleen has helped organize several charitable events annually benefiting underserved communities. Karoleen is conversational in Arabic and Spanish. Passionate about her family, the ocean, and travel, when not practicing law, Karoleen is eager to stamp her passport (and those of her kids and husband), and go scuba diving.
